About Katrina Swan Hansen

Katrina Swan HansenA longtime tax professional with many years of experience in the field, Katrina Swan Hansen currently works as a Tax Manager with Windham Brannon in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, she manages tax returns for nonresident aliens, individuals, and partnerships, with a particular focus on real estate. Hansen closely supervises the Windham Brannon client base, assuming responsibility for scheduling work, billing, budgets, and compliance. In addition to reading partnership agreements and allocating income among partners, Hansen personally manages four of the firm’s top 10 real estate clients.

Before joining the team at Windham Brannon, Hansen spent one year as a Staff Tax Accountant with KPMG in Atlanta, where she focused primarily on real estate and partnerships. Hansen gained a wealth of experience with a number of tax forms, including Forms 1120, 1120-F, 1065, and several state returns. Hansen also participated in the firm’s intern-mentoring program and volunteered to help low-income individuals prepare their individual tax returns.

Earlier in her career, Katrina Swan Hansen served as a Tax Manager with the accounting firm Jamestown in Atlanta. She concentrated primarily on the management of real estate, nonresident alien, and partnership tax returns. In addition to supervising staff members and gaining experience with partnership taxation protocols, Hansen assumed responsibility for review of nonresident alien income tax returns and technical compliance. She also responded to a number of state and federal tax notices for both individuals and partnerships.

Hansen holds a Master of Taxation from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Arts in French Literature from Emory University.
